Vrystaat Warning!
This is for all the AFRIKAANS speaking people out there. You have to understand AFRIKAANS and the way people spel English with an AFRIKAANS accent. It is really hilarious, so sorry guys, I can not explain this joke or translate it. For all those Vrystaters, you dumb fuckers!
Back and forth, but actually taking small steps forward.....!
To start off, Deutschland really impressed me today and that guy Podolski, fucking amazing. Just brilliant! I can not see why the fuss is all over Michael Ballack though. Deutschland has real impressive youngsters coming through the ranks and all I can say to Sweden is "Poly Sana". Really impressive football and now it is crunch time. You snooze, you loose!
For South Africa on the other hand, well guys, those fucking french is just so incredible. They just rolled over us like a steam train, but it is not where it will end. Even though we can accept defeat, we will not forget this game, not by a mile. Tomorrow the South African U/21 will take on the French U/21 in the world cup final and it will be a match not to be missed. Go Boys!
Other news is that my bike is starting to take shape. Soon she will be up and running again and it did take a lot of hours input to thus far, not even to speak about US dollars. I suspect that it will be another 3 - 4 weeks out of action, but she is coming alive slowely, but surely.
The past week was definately one of the hardest weeks in my working life and I believe that it will soon show great results. I have taken upon myself to do those things that previously freightened me and actually I'm not as bad as the ...............! Well Dirk, I guess you can figure the last couple of words out. Remember this is a public blog. I do see some big changes soon will come and in some kind of way I'm preparing myself mentally for these changes. I do think that I have the support and trust of my colleagues and I do believe that they I am worth every 5 cents that I earn. Anyway,
Slowely but surely I can see that Dirk and his family are preparing for the start of their "new life" in Australia and I can see that the decisions that they need to take ain't easy at all. I had a conversation with Rieta (Dirk's wife) and my friend, come easy adopted sister or mother for that matter about all their changes and decisions and I can take my hat of for this family. I have known Dirk now for about 2 and a half years and probably from the start I was part of their family. Now to see them go is kind of sad for me, but at the very same time I am really happy for them, becuase I know how they came to where they are today........By really hard work and by being absolutely great people in the true sense of the word.
I have known Dylan (Dirk & Rieta's son) since he was 3 years old and I have seen grown into a great child, even though he calls me a poephol. I saw him changing from the time he started whatching cartoon network and never wanted me to whatch the rugby to a boy I can make deals with or bribe now just to be able to whatch the rugby. I will really miss him badly, but I think this decision his parents made was truly based on his well being and I hope he will be greatful for this decision some day. Julle almal is great mense en net so ter loops, ek mis ouma net so baie wat in Aussie sit. Maybe we can't sit around the same table when it comes to the Bulls & Sharks, but otherwise, it is still awesome.
So, finally to the Lourens family....I know it is at least 4 months to go, but I just wanted to say my thanks to y'all. I love y'all. Other news, there ain't much. Just going nowhere very slowly and one of these days I might be able to pick the fruits of my hard work and have payback when all of this comes to an end and when I decide to settle down back home again whenever that may be. Don't know yet, but the time will come for that decision.
So, this was my weekly input and it was a tough, but real satifying week. I am happy with myself, even if I am the only who thinks that.
Ciao
Gathering my thoughts!
OK, I know I have been one of the most regular bloggers, perhaps to regular at times. Somehow it seems that we are all loosing touch of one another, whether it is a good thing or not, I do not know and somehow I do not have the power to stress about it. Just accept life the way it is meant to be.
To have a quick recap on all the latest new regarding my life and which ain't a lot except for work, is that I did eventually received my KTM parts and believe it or not I went shopping mad and another delivery is yet on its way. Really COOL Helmet though and clothing. I think it is about time that I have purchased some clothing though. Work has been keeping me really busy and now time to really worry about crap. I was told earlier that I should again set out to get a permanent woman around me, because it does have its advantages although it might not seem that way. For one is that by having a woman aorund does indeed help with stress relieve the majority of the time if they are quite easy going, but my fear is that I haven't ever heard of an quite easy going woman. Most of the time they are just FULL OF SHIT and I just can not deal with this as well. ALLES KLAR and not open for any discussion. Like a friend ask me today (whom by the way I haven't spoken too since early days in Mauritius) if I'm married or just still with HANNELI......It is kind of a AFRIKAANS Joke meaning your hand......Naja, OK
So, second on my list is that since I'm addicted to RED BULL and can't sleep at night and wake up very poorly in the mornings, it gives me a lot of time to think about a lot shit in life. And for starters I decided not to blog again about Deutschland Football, because FREEDOM of SPEECH disappeared and there ain't a lot of room for discussion concerning this issues due to so much patriotism and fanatics and I do not want to step on any toes anymore. All that I want to say is that fuck, GHANA really showed incredible soccer against CECHOSLAVAKIA and fuck bru, ARGENTINA Rules. Brazil did not impress me much so far and ENGLAND really looks good as well. GERMANY has a tough one against ECUADOR today and they have to win against this very impressive side to end top of the log. The question is who do you rather want to play in the second round.....If you loose you are OUT. ENGLAND OR SWEDEN. So Deutschland, make your pick and be careful. Enough about football. Dick sport anyway! Game for a pussy. A real man sport is RUGBY and I still will stay with that opinion. PLEASE< DO PROVE ME WRONG!, 'cause I know you can't.......hehehehehehehe, we should call this the pussy world cup....Anyway,
So, I have been wondering what is going on with Jess. I haven't heard from her in a while and I truly hope things are OK that side. Madame, just speak up and say hallo. It ain't that fucking difficult, is it? So it does count for Uma and Heather as well. I have seen her commenting now a couple of times on the Blogging scene, but it ain't enough. OK, no for real!
You know, while driving back home on Monday night I thought about all the reasons why we are doing what we are doing and why our roads crossed with each other and suddenly it slpitted up again leaving a lot of memories behind. I know we have to live our own lives and if it means that our roads will cross someday, then it will . The best and only reason I could have thought of was that we needed to learn something from one another and we should carry it with us forward whatever we are meant to do. We will always forgive, but sure not forget even if times were hard or not. I really miss all of you guys dearly, but not in a sad way and funny enough I am enjoying Tanzania in a very weird and strange way.
One of these months my road will split with a very dear friend and boss who really tought me most of what I know today and there might be a very good chance that I will not see him again or maybe not within the next 2 years or so. To be accpted into someones family and be part of a real close family is quite astonishing, but people actually do mean so much to one another even if they do not realizze it every moment. Once it is gone, you try and fight all the motion and try to get back the good part of life and then you have to realize that it is OVER and move on. You should have learned what you could during your time spent together and take from it what you can. 'Cause only YOU can live your life the way you want too and you are responsible for your own happiness. But at the same time we all get so easy use to our new surroundings and to people, but it is so fucking difficult to let go when things always were good all the way or rather most of the time.
The best is to stipulate your goals and dreams and make that priority number 1 and anyone who wants to join should just hop onto the band wagon and get off when the time calls for it. DON"T LET YOUR GOALS AND DREAMS DISAPEAR FOR NO ONE, NEVER!
Guys, I love y'all and have an absolutely great week.
Ciao
A Great South African Tuesday Night Quicky.......!
A businessman met a beautiful girl and agreed to spend the afternoon with her for R500. They did their thing, and, before he left, he told her that he did not have any cash with him, but he would have his secretary write a cheque and mail it to her, calling the payment.
"RENT FOR APARTMENT."
On the way to the office, he regretted what he had done, realizing that the whole event had not been worth the price. So he had his secretary send a cheque for R250 and enclose the following typed note:
"Dear Madam:
Enclosed find a cheque for R250 for rent of your apartment. I am not sending the amount agreed upon, because when I rented the place, I was under the impression that:
#1 - it had never been occupied;
#2 - there was plenty of heat; and
#3 - it was small enough to make me feel cosy and at home.
However, I found out that it had been previously occupied, that there wasn't any heat, and that it was entirely too large.
"Upon receipt of the note, the girl immediately returned the cheque for R250 with the following note:
"Dear Sir:
First, I cannot understand how you could expect a beautiful apartment to remain unoccupied indefinitely. As for the heat, there is plenty of it, if you know how to turn iton.Regarding the space, the apartment is indeed of regular size, but if you don't have enough furniture to fill it, please do not blame the management.
Please send the rent in full or we will be forced to contact your present landlady.
Peace Offering!
OK, I guess a lot of people was offended with my last post. Just want to say that if you can't deal with critism, then there is absolutely no way of improvement. Critism does
NOT mean any form of dislike.
E.S, do you think it is fair to comment on this blog? OK, what I will do is to offer friendship and I mean it. It seems that you do keep tab on my life and that you can't let it go and again, it is your choise. Talk to me! I have moved on and I am happy again. I really hope you could do the same and have so much fun. You really deserve it after a terrible 2005. I guess everything was bad of that year.
I am so happy to see that patriotism is back in Germany and I hope you guys will stick with it. It is not always just a bad thing. Those amazing flags are waving again and it brings a lot of joy to a lot of people!
Los Deutschland, Los!
Definately going somewhere!
OK, let me try this again. This is my third blog in 2 days and I hope this time that it will publish. So, where do I start off?
OK, the score for Deutschland is 4 -2 against Costa Rica, but pure an unconvincingly victory for me. Don't get me wrong, I have been in Deutschland supporter since 1990 and since that big loss against Brazil last year in Germany, I'm still convinced that Jurgen Klinsman is not the man for the job. He did get his forwards really up to scratch and it was an exciting test upfront, but like always Germany's defence really sucks. I'm sorry to say and I hope that they will improve on it. Maybe they should get a guy like Lucas Radebe....By the way, a great South African footballer that captained South Africa as well as Leeds United. No, seriously, with Schweinsteiger, Schneider and Podolski upfront, Germany really looked awesome, but that defence was poor. It took 4 defenders to stop an African striker and he still scored twice. Common, tell me that the Costa Riqian striker did not get Germany worried at all. Look, I really hope that Germany would hold the FIFA cup high at the end of this month, but I believe that a team who wins the Cup should perform convincingly throughout. Germany did not do it last night, not at all.
For rugby, well, what can I say? The Springboks played Scotland today and let me remind you that Scotland beat France and England this year in the 6 Nations Cup and like always.........my boys you are the greatest! We clearly thrashed Scotland today 36 - 16 and it was a performance not to be missed. We'll see again next week though in the second test against Scotland and a week after against France. Tough couple of weeks lying ahead.
Well, the verdict is out. Mary did eventually called Dirk and he and his family are now officially Australian citizens or permanent rsodence for that matter. The only difference is that you can't vote! Fuck yeah, that's the way I like it. I really wish him the best of luck and by the look of things it seems that he will be leaving me behind again in January'07. AS USUAL LIKE ALWAYS! Yeah, so this time it is totally a different ball game and I will probably need to run the show for the final 6 months or so. It seems that I will be around in Tanzania 'till next year June/July.
Lately I have been sleeping really badly and funny enough today I started to wonder if something bad happened to one of you guys out there. I'm sorry that I have not be blogging regulary lately due to working circumstances, but something is really bothering me sub-conciously and I need to sort it out, 'cause I fucking need my rest.
I've seen some pictures lately on Timo's website as well as his mother's blog. Man, Germany really looks good this time of year. Awesome pics guys! Anyway, I'm already planning my next holiday and December I want to go to Mauritius for about 2 weeks or so. Care to join me? Nah, I guess I will be needing a break by then before everything else gets really rough out here in the Outback. Good news is that the majority of my bike parts will arrive next week and I'm still waiting for my subrame due mid July. My boots will also arrive from South Africa next week and then I will be back on my Beast again.
So, this is about it and all the news I have gathered for the past 2 weeks or so. Hope you guys are having fun and may the South African force be with y'all. GO BOKKE und Deutschland!
