Karneval in Wuerzburg!

My first week in Germany was included with a lot of drama and personal differences, but gladly I have come to my senses and will try to enjoy everything this amazing country has to offer without any regrets or to be even more direct.....without any bullshit.

My plan is still that when I return to my country of residence that everything will be sorted out including my mindset, emotions and that I will be ready for the upcoming year for total devotion to my work with the focus on next year. What ever that might bring, the goal is still to prove a point in a very challenging field and country and I do know that I can make a success of it. Everything in life is possible if you only put your mind to it and like always, I do love and appreciate real challenges that can really stimulate this brain of mine that does not stop working over-time.

So, Anne and I have spend a lot of time together and it was really fun hanging out with her. Somehow I do need my space as well and planned to move on in meeting all my other friends and spend some quality time with them as well. I have amazing photos with the one week spent with Anne and I will blog them shortly on my flickr account. Basically the first week we were mostly in Wuerzburg (did some shopping) as well as a couple of days in Berlin that did not turn out to be the best time of my life. Defionately one of my highlights was to spend some time with Sandrine, Julia, Nicki, Romy and it did include a lot of traveling with the U-Bahn, S-Bahn walking and site seeing. Specially the moment when I walked out of the subway at Potsdam Platze and I saw some remains of the Berlin wall.......This was definately a moment when I realised what have actually have happened to a nation devided by pure sick politics.

So, my plans to go to Cologne for the Karneval fell through the carpet and I ended up spending really good quality time with Timo and Hubert in Wuerzburg. It started off on Sunday when we all met at the local parade in DOM Straße (with the temperature just by a small margin above zero degrees) with a couple of beers and then there was the special flachmann with genuine German Willie's Schnapps that basically took out all the shivers out of my spine. Awesome shit bru......I love that shit.

Did I actually mentioned that it was just above zero degrees with only a small margin.....? The topic of the cold weather has really been on my mind lately, because I'm starting to really miss the 30 degrees with sun and clear skies in Tanzania. Ja, I know I will get to use to it, but I'm just so afraid that I will loose my tan and then I will not look African anymore and then there is no way that I will be able to pick up some real hot German ladies......Ja OK, I know I'm starting to talk a lot of shit again.

OK, Hubsi, Timo and I set off to meet Hubsi's girlfriend Tina (If I remembered correctly) somewhere in the chaos of the pararde. I think I have actually only spent 30minutes whatching the parade in total and then it was off to the closest bar for some beer. We ended up in a cafe called Uni Cafe and there we have met a couple of really drunk people and I felt so at home. Eventually time was running out (and we got bored just sitting around getting drunk without observing any hot chicks) and we set off for a local student bar that is really popular during Fasching (Karneval) and that was just the joint where I would like to have hang-out and so we did.......Somehow to be a public place where there was sooooo many drunk people at once was kind of a real experiance for me. But it was amazing fun.

So, with the walkin into the club/bar, guess who got to serve us? Bettina, god, I really think that this was the most beautiful waitress that have ever served me in my life and she carried all those beer in the air without spilling anything.......Very tallented! OK, I heard from Hubsi that she was only doing this volunterily and I kind of enjoyed it being sserved by such a stunning looking woman.....and I remember that by this time I guess I had at least 10 beers to much.......uhm ja!

So, after spending a couple of hours and our life savings in this bar we set off to find some food. Yeah, then I rediscovered the true nature of civilisation.....McRib.....Awesome shit. We kind off met up with so much people and we did not really have a clue who the fuck they were. So, one really nice lady (In the picture that was fed with my beer) gladly invited us to a kareoki club called New-K bar and then it was back to what we know best. I do not even think this girl told me her name.......So, we all wore this afro wig and swollowing amazingly a lot of beer.....Timo decided he had a real urgent conversation with "GEORGE/PORCELYN GOD" on the dance floor without anyone even noticing and we just headed on. Timo eventually decided that this was his timeout and that he would call it a night and set off back home.

Hubsi and I decided that it was quite still early and we could at least get another 4 beers in. So we headed back to Sternbacks' and there we stood at this table with so much beer. I decided that when my beer was finsihed I will maybe pick one of the table and surely German's do not like people borrowing their beer for only a couple of sipps. So, we knew it was now time to go home and just as I walked out of the door I kind off fell over my own feet (some weird balance disorder that occurs only when I drink beer late night) and by with some chance an amazingly beautiful woman grabbed my arm and ask me not to leave and rejoin the party. Who will resist this when it is Bettina? Ja, so I called Hubsi back and there we started again. We went crazy and we were so fucking wasted and it was so good for once to really forget about all the shit that have bothered me for so long. We had just so much fun and finally we knew we needed to head home, but not without food. I told the local taxi driver to take us to a Burger King and I have to admit that this burgers are really great, specially at 1am in the morning. So, we woke Timo up and then we tried to get into bed, but this was really difficult to do due to the fact that when men are really drunk they actually become very silly.

So, this morning/afternoon when I woke up I really knew that I was still drunk and this is the way I would like to remember my first Fasching experiance in Deutschland. This was Karneval in Wuerzburg spent with really a bunch of great people.

So, I hope you guys enjoyed this posting. From now on I will only try to improve it from here.

Ciao
